8-Day Gong Master Healer Accredited Course
Our Gong Master Healer training is delivered over 8 days (4 weekends) and draws from the deep lineage of Gong and sacred-sound healing established by Don Conreaux (originator of Gong Yoga of Holistic Resonance, Gong Puja, Gong Master title).
Students will engage not only in instrument technique and facilitation but also in a spiritual, energetic and therapeutic framework.
It is recommended that you purchase a Gong before or during this course.
On completion of the 8 days, participants will be prepared to facilitate:
1:1 gong sound-healing sessions
Group Gong ceremonies
Rituals associated with the sacred work of sound healing
Professional standards (for the Complementary Medical Association / CMA).
Your Learning Outcomes
Understand the lineage and philosophy of Gong work, including history, spiritual context and modern therapeutic application.
Be proficient in safe handling/playing of the Gong, singing bowls and other healing instruments.
Design and facilitate both individual and group Gong ceremonies (including one-to-one and group Gong baths)
Acquire robust, energetic protection and self-care techniques for the healer, ensuring practitioner integrity and safety.
Meet CMA-style professional standards: ethics, consent, boundaries, contraindications, business foundations, and integration into practice as a Gong healer.

Detailed Syllabus
Weekend 1 – Foundation & Lineage
Day 1 (Saturday):
Welcome, intention-setting, overview of lineage.
History & background of gong & sacred sound: origins, evolution, Conreaux’s “Way of
the Gong”.
Introduction to instruments: types of Gongs, singing bowls, tuning folks and other healing instruments.
Practical: basic strokes, mallets, playing posture.

Guided meditation & short gong immersion – experiencing from both sides (player/receiver) in the spirit of “deep healing” Student practice.
Day 2 (Sunday):
Recap of Day 1; group sharing of experiences.
Helen Sheppard – Sound vibrations and Hrtz
Instrument workshop: hands-on exploring a range of instruments.
Practical: Basic one-to-one session structure: space-setting, consultation.
Weekend 2 – Technique & Healing
Day 3 (Saturday):
Advanced playing techniques: over-toning, multiple mallets, alternative playing styles.
Protection techniques
Accompanying instruments: singing bowls and other sound healing instruments, integrated in a session.
Designing a healing session: one-to-one, group gong bath, ceremony and immersion.
Practical breakout: pairs practising each other with feedback.
Day 4 (Sunday):
Facilitating group gong bath: structure, intention, flow, closing (emphasises nurturing & safe space).
Gong Pujas
Supervised full group session where each participant plays under observation.
Cleaning the Gongs and other instruments
Weekend 3 – Deep Spiritual Work, Group Performance & Ceremony
Day 5 (Saturday):
Spiritual frameworks: working with sacred sound for deep healing, meditation, consciousness.
Healer’s journey: self-healing, dealing with resistance/shadow, surrender & service. Self-healing and self-care.
Energetics of sound: subtle body anatomy, energy centres/chakras.
Practical: Participants lead short self-healing gong sessions, then peer feedback.

Day 6 (Sunday):
Protection
Performance & ceremony: planning and facilitating a “Gong Bath large-group gong immersion.
Group project: designing and rehearsing a group sound healing ceremony
Integration practice: how to hold sacred space, set intention, create a container for group healing.
Introduction to professional/therapeutic standards: consent, boundaries, contraindications, ethics (CMA aligned).
Weekend 4 – Integration, Protection, Business & Certification
Day 7 (Saturday):
Energetic Protection & Self-Care for the Healer:
Recognising energy-boundaries, avoiding burnout; grounding, shielding, clearing.
Ethical and safe practice: referral, scope, duty of care (CMA aligned).
Cleaning Gongs
Business foundations: setting up your sound healing practice (consultations, insurance, marketing, client management).
Integration workshop: each participant designs their own 1-1 session and a group event (layout, intention, instrumentation).
Supervised peer-practice: each student runs their designed session with peers as clients, receiving feedback.
GDPR & Consent
Day 8 (Sunday):
Review and consolidation: revisit all key areas (instrument technique, healing structure, spiritual framework, protection).
Final practical assessment: each participant leads a short one-to-one session and a mini group sound healing ceremony under supervision.
Certification process: confirm attendance, assessment outcomes, submission of reflective piece (your healer journey & intention), receive certificate - Gong Master Healer
Closing ritual: shared gong sound-journey, participant reflections, intention-setting for practice moving forward.
